Obituary for Oscar Rodriguez

Oscar Rodriguez, the third son of Candido Rodriguez, deceased in 1967 and Marta Rodriguez, present, who is also survived by 4 siblings residing in Orlando, Roman Rodriguez, Teofila Rodriguez, Ernesto Rodriguez, and Candido Rodriguez Jr.

Oscar was born in Orocovis, Puerto Rico, where he resided until the age of 5. He then moved to the United States where he resided in Massachusetts for about 10 years when he moved to Florida where he resided for the remainder of his life.

Oscar is survived by his loving wife, Migdalia Rodriguez, his 4 children and extended family, including, Oscar Rodriguez Jr. and his wife, Marti Therrien and two children who currently reside in Maine; Phillip and Magaly Ronan and their daughter, his only granddaughter, Corey Jayne Ronan, who currently reside in Massachusetts; his youngest children Miliani Rodriguez and Owsley Rodriguez who currently reside in Florida.

To his family and friends, Oscar was known has a devoted husband and father! To neighbors and friends he was known to be their protector, brother, mechanic, handy-man, home security service. You name it! He was loved by many near and far for his loyalty, trust worthiness, wisdom, know-it all attitude, and his big heart and sense of humor! During his free time he enjoyed waking up the family with his rendition of the Adam’s Family Theme song loudly on his piano, collecting scale model NASCAR cars, working on his home, listening to “la musica de jibaro” blasting loudly from his garage.

At the end, he was a friend, a son, a brother, an uncle, a husband, a father, a grandfather, and a son of Christ.
